So, I was told of this lovely site by a close friends and figured I would give it a look. After all, why not, it is always so interesting to get comments back from other writers, whether they know what they are talking about or not. Give great joy on many occasions. Besides this, I am simply bored and need some sort of an event to pass the time, and ripping apart people who try and make themselves seem high than they are by agree with those higher or putting down those higher is always a great pass time.
NOTE NOW: I AM A NATURALLY SARCASTIC PERSON! It is nothing personal if I'm snide or anything with you.
I read poetry as not from the writer saying it but from a speaker separate from the writer. I will refer comments to 'you' though. It's just how i am and how i was raised to read poetry.All my English teachers told me this.
If I offend you, please please tell me. I do not mean to and I will ease up on comments (or stop if you ask) and explain myself. I never mean to be mean to anyone. (***EXCEPTION TO THIS: If you start something with me and insult me in anyway, I'll take it out on your writing and then on you, I'm just like that. I get defensive. After being tormented most of my life and keeping my mouth shut until it nearly killed me, I now have the problem of over defending sometimes. I'm trying to find that middle ground, but you have to bare with me. It is a hard thing to do.)
I don't comment on people's lives or personality or such while I'm commenting poetry. If I feel a need to tell you something, I'll message or add a quick PS to the end of the comment. NEVER are my poetry comments about the poet.
If I seem harsh in my comments, I mean well. Many on hear I believe have a strong chance of being published someday if they stick with it and polish up a bit. But if I ever take it a bit far, tell me and I'll ease up and apologize. Again, I don't mean to offend.
