Worthwhile Quotes

"Pity comes without charge, envy wants to be earned!"

--Thomas Rainer (L'Âme Immortelle)

"Will you dance with immaturity or fight with adulthood?"

--Benjamin Lucas

"I think anyone can turn their life around if they put enough effort into it. Suicide takes away any chance at helping yourself."

--TheMasterchief

"how lonely we are
cast nets spun from our skins
with hopes to catch a grin
silent waiting in a the din
spins around it's usual pins
wishing we gathered them
with the scraping of our pens
but few to none will come
as words thin among the winds"

"I love chocolate but I don't screw it."

--UnderTheWeepingMoon

"she wants to be able to understand. I want to make her think. Life is boring enough. You read them. Do they make you think? She wants comments. I want to make comments. I love to talk . I love to think. This just flow. She has to understand that- at the very least. Why do I have beautiful eyes? And who are they that think so? I'm not challenging you,-I laugh at the thought. No, I'm making you. I make you think. There is no middle man. He is the challenger. Don't put anchors on my words, this is a boat called fiction. It doesn't sink. Ask away, sweet sacrifice, ask away, you'll drown in your answers. Ask away, sacrifice. Life isn't as sweet as it should be. This world is upside down, dont fall a victim to what is easy- it isn't always right. And it makes all of us, less like what we were meant to be, and more like robots. The ones we made."

---volcomrade (from artconspiracy.com, this was a comment that was left to me. I haven't been in touch with him for a while, though...hopefully he won't get mad at me for that.)

"I've found that some of the most special people out there are ones who never advertise themselves as such."

-- -BlackKnight-

"Rubian the road safety bear! . . . he wants you to be safe on the road so he can eat you in the woods."

--k8fairy

"Love is something people give up everything for, and something people give up for everything else."

--Meganandarainbow

"Bodies of men are proverbially heartless. They commit injustice without reflection, and vindicate their abuses without remorse."

--James Fenimore Cooper
The Wing-And-Wing

"You deserved success, whatever may have caused you to lose it."
Captain Cuffe

--James Fenimore Cooper
The Wing-And-Wing

"I think most adults are just children with bigger vocabularies."

--Mark Rickerby

"See, skinny, socially-privileged white people get to draw this neat little circle. And everyone inside the circle is 'normal'. Anyone outside the circle needs to be beaten, broken and reset so that they can be brought into the circle. Failing that, they should be institutionalized. Or worse - pitied. ... Why would you feel sorry for someone that gets to opt out of the inane courteous formalities which are utterly meaningless, insincere and therefore degrading? This kid doesn't have to pretend to be interested in your back pain, your secretions or your grandma's itchy place. Imagine how liberating it would be to live a life free of all the mind-numbing social niceties. I don't pity this kid - I envy him."

--House

"I'd rather die
Than live without you
I don't want to see the sun
Without you be my side"

--L'Âme Immortelle
"Without You"

"Your words don't hurt me anymore
They just show that you don't see
How hard you try to justify
Yourself for what you've done to me"

--L'Âme Immortelle
"Just Defy"

"There is nothing left to do but pray
The day you died I lost my way
You always cared and helped me see
Out of this misery"

--L'Âme Immortelle
"Dying Day"

"They didn't love their lives so much
As to shrink from death
Inspired in their footsteps
We will march ahead
Don't be shocked that people die
Be surprised you're still alive"

--Flyleaf
"Cassie (Acoustic)"

I am seventeen years old and I live in New Jersey. I'm a Senior in High School and I can't wait to graduate! I'll listen to anything that sounds good, but I listen to the following.

L'Âme Immortelle
Evanescence
Draconian
All My Faith Lost...
Iced Earth
Cradle of Filth

there's a few more but I can't think of them right now.

Enjoy yourselves and stick to your writing implements.

    "Cassie (Acoustic)"

if you were in that position, what would you do? Would you forsake your beliefs just to live another day? Or, would you pull a Cassie and tell the truth? What might motivate you to do such a thing and why?

I think that I would tell the truth....who knows...? Though my chances of survival would be much, MUCH slimmer, I'd still be willing to take the risk. I'm not going to put on a front for anyone, and I want to be remembered for that if I were to die if someone asked me that. But honestly, I don't know if I believe in God or not right now. That question is hard to answer even as I type out this journal entry, you know? Right now...beliefs-wise

    "Cassie (Acoustic)"

I have the original version of "Cassie" too, but I like this version, the Acoustic, better. Sounds more real to me. And I can't find the whole song on youtube. It's previously unreleased so..yea... I don't really know. But it really is a pretty song. So..if you want it...drop me a line with an email address...and I'll send it your way.

it's **supposedly** about a girl from Columbine who was asked if she believed in God. If she said no, she'd walk away alive; if she said yes, she'd die. From the looks of the song, she said yes.

So, my question to you is....if you were in that position, what would you do? Would you forsake your beliefs just to live another day? Or, would you pull a Cassie and tell the truth? What might motivate you to do such a thing and why? You could put this in y
