I write about whatever comes to mind. I might have a phrase come to mind, or all of a sudden, I'll just have this image of something... a place, a person, an event... and once the words start flowing, I go with it. I love it when my muse — whatever it is — gives me the right words and allows my finished product to be something that I can be proud of.
As for me, myself... I'm crazy. I must be... because I'm genuinely happy with my life. Now there's something you don't see every day. My themesong is Daydream Believer by The Monkees, and it is truly fitting, because that is what I am and what I do. I have daydreams and I believe in them... it's where I get my inspiration for my poems and stories. I love being outside, playing guitar, singing, and theatre, and those also provide much inspiration. I dance in the rain when it's freezing outside, I skip rather than walk whenever possible and I am queen of the squirrels. (See you didn't believe me before when I said I was crazy, well what do you think now? lol). Oh, and another thing... I rant and ramble on. So if I do, don't pay any attention to me... just go about your business.
If you have read all this, and brave soul that you are, still wish to read my poetry, I hope that you enjoy it. And if you have any input whatsoever please don't hesitate to tell me. I'm always looking for ways to improve my poetry... (which also includes expanding my vocabulary, so if you have any interesting words, please drop those in too)! I'll be sure to return the favor.

All is silent. The wind is gone. / The world has paused as the charged air / Waits with baited breath for the symphony to begin -- / For the symbol to crash, / And the drum to begin its roll, / Crescending to a bomb

tlsledge on October 20, 2005I love Poe also, he was my relative. My great grandmother was a Poe. I have written The Return of Poe, Patti Lou, and The Breath Of Hell. Read them and see if they remind you of any poetry or story by Poe. I am not comparing myself or my writings to the master Poe.
