LokiShow poetry

Hey,
I'm Loki. A 25 year old from Alabama. I've been writing since I was about 13 and still write to this day. I enjoy writing my feelings and challenging my readers. I've never really been fond of my work, but am becoming more fond of it lately. I've recently been inspired to write again and to challenge myself in my writing and my life, by a very important person to me.

Let me know if you have any questions and or comments about my work. I'm open to criticism be it good or bad. Thanks and I hope you enjoy.

People who are important to me:

Bean Sidhe
: She'll paint you a masterpiece with words and then tear it in two. Her words will make you cry, they will stop your heart, they will slow your breathing, and they will make you stand up and shout obscenities. Not to mention she is my eternal beloved. She is my inspiration and my editor. All praise for my work belongs to her.

DaemonFaery:
(AKA My Evil Little Pony) aside from being my occasional accomplice, she is an amazing poet and (sometimes) daughter.

Patpowersnoshoepoet: Far and away a great poet and an even greater commenter.  He's an awesome friend.

Poetry that Inspires Me:

since feeling is first

since feeling is first
who pays any attention
to the syntax of things
will never wholly kiss you;

wholly to be a fool
while Spring is in the world

my blood approves,
and kisses are a better fate
than wisdom
lady i swear by all flowers. Don't cry
- the best gesture of my brain is less than
your eyelids' flutter which says

we are for each other; then
laugh, leaning back in my arms
for life's not a paragraph

And death i think is no parenthesis

Lyrics to live by...

"There's a specter in the corner of an illustrated page
And a lonesome muted stripling with a rapt remedial gaze.
The poverty of his language and the wealth of his emotion
Bring him endless murky musings and unexpected frustration
Angst and madness weave the fabric of his life.
Tomorrow might be better but right now it feels like
#&%#"@$#!"&*""%%75838769%("%56("5965&65"$"%423!(060_*"7534#
There's a panther wild and proud behind the doors of a redolent cage,
And an underdeveloped intellect filled with impotent and static rage.
And don't think you're exempt if you earn good weekly wages,
'Cause you're neighbor's going crazy and insanity's contagious.
I know there's so much you want to say
But your tongue gets in the way and sometimes it feels like
)"^*()"&$%#68%3*(48"&%
I know there's so much you want to say
And the tumbrel of your mind gets in the way.
It's the same for everybody to degrees.
We all get that foggy freeze and sometimes it feels like

BAD RELIGION

"They say there's a place free of trouble and care, but you have to pass a test for to make it there. It has something to do with the road that's straight and narrow and the only way to go it is by being broad and thorough."

"You can play by the rules, or bend them to your needs
But the test isn't over 'til you've reached your dark eternal sleep
There are no absolutes, no big wheels in the sky
You don't have to be first, you just gotta somehow get by"

"Tested"
