Thanks for taking the time to drop by my page and check out my work.  
In the time I have been here I have met many wonderful people, some of these people have become very close friends and others are just great friends and/or acquaintances.

My poetry has been quite sporadic since my mum passed away so I have only been writing when I get a burst of inspiration or motivation. 

She passed away from cancer in Nov 05 so this ribbon is for her.  

Please put this ribbon on your page if you know someone who has died from cancer.

Family and friends are important to me because you only get one life so you should make the most of what you have. You never know when life and circumstance will change so enjoy what you have while you still have it.

My kids keep me busy but I still enjoy writing as much as time allows me to, I will be around the place somewhere to read and critique as much as I am able to.

In the meantime, keep doing what you all do so well, and stay safe and happy   

To all of my kind and generous friends here on AP, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Your love and support has helped me keep my sanity through both the good times and the bad times.

I would also like to say a big thank you to everyone else who has read my work, your kind thoughts and comments are all appreciated very much.

Sapphire............ A Gem

I have met many beautiful and wonderful people here
They have truly read and lovingly responded to all of my hopes and fears
A few have become to forever be so very special to me
Their understanding; loyalty; and friendship I will forever see
Of these few there is one who though quiet and reserved
Has given to me so much more than I deserve
I have been given this person's wonderful wisdom and insight
She has given my heart a beautiful new; warm light
Even through her own pain; heartbreak and sorrow
She stills reaches out to give me understanding; a bright hope for tomorrow
Now my heart and friendship is here for her; I will never grow tired

My shoulders; my heart; my strength; are forever hers; my friend; dear Sapphire

His poetry is full of hope and love for others and even through his own tough times he is always there for everybody else.
