In the event of my demise
When my heart can beat no more
I hope I die for a principle
Or a belief that I had lived for
I will die before my time
Because I feel the shadow's depth
So much I wanted to accomplish
Before I reached my death
I have come to grips with the possibility
And wiped the last tear from my eyes
I loved all who were positive
In the event of my demise.

In The Event Of My Demise, Tupac Shakur

Carry on my wayward, son,
There'll be peace when you are done.
Lay your weary head to rest,
Don't you cry no more.

Some pretty fricken sweet quotes.

-Ghandi

- Lau Tzu

"He with no opinions is seldom wrong."

My favorite song in the world is, "To Live Is To Die" by Metallica.

"When a man lies
He murders some part of the world
These are the pale deaths which men miscall their lives,
All this I cannot bear to witness any longer
Cannot the kingdom of salvation take me home?"

-Cliff Burton

Cliff Burton died in a tour bus crash in 1986. May he rest in peace.

Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr

The face, and the lips, tremble, as it rips,
Your breath, quickening, as heat, rushes in,

Pull, harder, strings, martyr,
Stop, you cry, that’s, a lie,
Flush, gasping, white, reddening,
You smile, and destroy it-, it's time that we end this!

It's our curse, that makes this world so hopeless,
Allowing, our king to spread his genocidal wings

Clawing, the skin, each kill, your weakness,
Annihilation, your masturbation-, tyrant i'll burn you down

Pull, harder, strings, martyr,
Stop, you cry, that’s, a lie,
Flush, gasping, white, reddening,
You smile, and destroy it-, it's time that we end this!

It's our curse, that makes this world so hopeless,
Allowing, our king to spread his genocidal wings,

It's our curse, that makes this world so hopeless,
Allowing, our king to spread his genocidal wings,

My hands grip your throat, I need your end,
Burned, staked, ripped apart- I avenge
For every life you have taken
I am here to repay, You ask me oh God why?

You ask me oh God why,
For every life you have taken
I am here to repay, You ask me oh God why?

Pull, harder, strings, martyr,
Stop, you cry, that’s, a lie,
Flush, gasping, white, reddening,
You smile, and destroy it-, it's time that we end this!

It's our curse, that makes this world so hopeless,
Allowing, our king to spread his genocidal wings,

It's our curse, that makes this world so hopeless,
Allowing, our king to spread his genocidal wings.

END THE GEONCIDE IN DARFUR! You can make a difference. Over 400,000 people have been killed in the Darfur region of Sudan by their own government. IN 1945, the UN said that, "Never again" would they allow a genocide to happen. The Sudaneese government is making a mockery of that promise. It's time for change. It's time to make the world a better place! Stay informed, and don't give up hope that you can change the world!

Ok everyone. I want to explain to you all what my opinion of a good poem is. As you can tell, I'm quite honest when I critique. So here's my idea of a good poem:

A good poem is a poem that needs not be annotated. A good poem will let the reader relate, even if the reader has never experienced what the poet is talking about. A good poem is one that, even if it's long, the reader will love just as much as a short one, and continue reading. A good poem let's the reader find out what you're feeling through the tone of the poem - not by just straight out saying how you feel. A good poem takes the reader away to a far away place where the poem takes place, and when they're done reading it, they want to go back.

Most importantly, a good poem feels good to write. A good poem will let the writer completley pour their emotions out onto the paper. A good poem is a soul made of ink.
