Roses are red
with dark souls
Absorbing the beauty of the night
Soaking in the moonlight
Devouring any allowance of love
Red petals drowned in their own tears
one for every lost love
Thorns that rip the flesh letting you bleed
Their purity feeding off the decaying dead
staining the very soul of a lost savant
Soaked in a bath of crimson

I embrace myself
closing my eyes tight
to feel you again
Reliving your touch on my skin
as you traced my body

where your presence is
more prominent than my own
