He Took his Own Life! Please... comfort poems needed...

My friend's cousin took his own life recently and it came as such a shock to all who knew him! One young family member wrote three poems of comfort and the family was so grateful!

Please, dear All Poetry family, let your hearts and talents go out to all who have experienced such a tragedy, and write poems of comfort for the families and friends who are grieving.

The poet whose cousin took his own life is our AP friend, exoticbeaches. She is so grateful for your poems of comfort.

Any poems of inspiration on the subject of death will be greatly appreciated! My friend plans to print them out and put them in a sympathy collection for her family. Your names will be on the poems, of course, and you will be given credit.

Rules:

Write inspirational poems of any kind, on the subject of death and loss due to death.

Be kind.

Please put your real name or All Poetry name at the bottom of the poem.

I am so sorry for your loss

In my heart death is not the end, it is just a new chapter in the long journey of spiritual entities, that spend an eternity, feeling and experiencing the joys or lackthereof the race to ecstasy. My poem, The Long Walk, strives to capture the wonders and upbeat side of death, and not the eternal damnation so many are apt to believe. Again I offer my condolences, and I feel with you on so many planes.

It is nice of you to try and help in any way you can. We went through my husband's brother committing suicide last February. I have many poems, but not all comforting and ones that are aimed toward my brother-in-law, so will need to take time to go through them all and find one that fits this situation. All my best, Kimberly G.

I am so sorry for this tragedy. Someone once told me that anyone who takes their own life is of course terrible depressed. Having tried this more than once myself, and having to deal with the tragedy of my brother-in-law taking his own life...I know that is the case. I was also told, that a depressed mind is like a calculater whose battery power is low...no matter how many times you put in the right numbers, the wrong answer comes out. I know that God understands a broken spirit, and the fact that man is not perfect. Try to think about the fact that whatever emotional pain they were going through is gone now...my thoughts are with you. Again, I'm sorry.
