You want OPTIONS, you got OPTIONS!

Okay this is my second contest so now I know what to expect. But here it goes, you can write a poem based on one of the these following options.
You can write a maximum of five poems, write your username in the author box and the option you chose. If you are writing more than one poem please have only one poem per option.

1) My birthday is coming up, write me a birthday poem, anything about a birthday.

2) Nature, I love nature and the changing of the seasons.

3) Colors, pick a color, or lots of colors and write about an emotion (love, sadness, anger, betrayl) with that color. (and don't just mention the color once in the whole poem, really incorporate the colors)

4) Your love language, meaning how you express your love to your family or friends. (For example, my mom loves to cook, she does it because she loves us and she does it for her friends)

5) Pick a book to write about or write a poem about reading books. Put the title in the author box.

NOW for the ever dreaded rules:

NO SWEARING (you will be disqualified)
NO chat speak (u... y... btw...lol...ect.)
NO tYPinG LiKE thIS
NO dirty poems (you will be disqualified)
MUST have username in author box along with the option number
IF you have more than five poems submitted or if you give the wrong username you will be disqualified.

But WHY options? Any of these would have made a good competition on its own - so why bundle them all together?

I put them together because I was afraid of people not entering, and apparently even with options they don't enter. Also because I want variety and to not read the same theme again and again and again. I can always figure something out later for another contest.

If you go to your poem, and then click the edit button on the right hand side, you scroll down the poem, after the box with the poem in it, there is another box, it says 'Author Notes'.
You can put your inspirations or thoughts about the poem, thats usually what people do. But for things like this it works too.
  • Congratulaitons to the winners and thank you for the HM
    Thank you also for hosting.
