National Poetry Day

Here in the civillised world (The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) Thursday the 9th of October will be "National Poetry Day". This year the theme is "Work". Since no doubt there will be a load of REALLY bad official poems we invite you all to give us so good ones instead. Any form you like as long as it is good!

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on October 12
  • Rewards: Gold: 1000, Silver: 300, Bronze: 200, Honorable mention: 4 people
  • Final notes:
    This was fun!
Sue and I are more used to judging contests where the form is more defined so this was an interesting departure for the two of us.

National poetry day was rather overshadowed by half the world's banks going bust but we know which was more important!

    Thank-you all for entering.

I'm confident that you will advise me if this contest is limited to Grand Brittania and her environs.
Vera has a similar contest for poetry day on this theme as well.
Look forward to hearing from you, and then again, no!
