I've only been a member on this site for a couple of weeks, but I've already won a gold in a contest so I have 576 points to waste... so I've decided to make a contest. I think I've got an idea of the way these should be...
So I'm really into beauty... people, surroundings, anything. And I love to write poems about beauty-- So I think I'd like to read yours.
rules
1. There has to be some BEAUTY in your poem... about beauty or the beauty in something. If you find whatever you're writing about is beautiful in some way that's not obvious, write your reason for submitting it and why you find it beautiful in your notes.
2. Please, NO religious stuff
3. Nothing about suicide or in debth about how you slit your wrists or anything like that. You can talk about how beautiful death is, but I'm over the "suicidal" point in my life and even though this might sound horrible-- I don't want to hear about yours.
4. I think prewrites should be allowed... so you can enter up to three prewrites, four poems in all.
5. Comment on atleast two other poems, it's a nice thing to do.
6. You can curse, but I don't know why you would really feel compelled to when talking about beauty.
7. You can talk about sex and the beauty behind it (because we all know it's amazing) but don't make it like a tacky porno, you're just going to embarass yourself dear.
8. Wait, I can't think of anything else
So you've got what to do, it's not that hard. Just show me something that'll make me feel amazing, and you've got yourself 400 points.

I can't believe I got so many entries... and I've entered a few contests, and there'd always be a lot of people who entered that just weren't that good. I know a lot of people say this, but really, these were some of the best poems I've ever read, and it makes me so upset to have to choose a best... especially because i was an idiot and forgot to put in points for second and third place, and i have 641 extra points now. oh well, next contest. anyway, i was very truthful wiht my comments, but, oh my. THESE WERE AMAZING
