Okay folks, this contest is going to be relatively easy. I just want you to write me an ode to chocolate, how much do you love chocolate(no hating ones please, since I am a severe chocoholic). And I really enjoy funny ones. Write an ode to your favorite chocolate bar or desert, or just all kinds of chocolate. I just love that milky, dreamy, soft, and silky feel as it glides across my lips. YUMMMMMMMMMY!!!!!
If you don't like the chocolate topic, you can write me a funny poem about turtles, an ode to your pet turtle, or just turtles in general. Down here in the small town I live in we have turtle farms. They have turtle ponds where the turtles lay their eggs, and the eggs are dug out of the ground and then placed in incubators. The eggs hatch in the incubators, and then the baby turtles are sold to markets around the world, but not in the U S. It really sounds strange I know, but I have helped out on one of these farms. It really is hard work. You can write me a poem about a turtle farm. I think a funny poem about this would be perfect. Use your imagination with this topic. Just let your mind run wild.
If you have any other topics that you think would be good for this contest, you can im me. I am open to suggestions, but I am in a very humorous and silly mood right now. I would much rather laugh than cry.

Prewrites are allowed, but please make sure that they fit into one of the topics. Comments on others work, not a requirement, but it is good manners. I will not count off for this though. Brownie points for comments on my work, JUST KIDDING. And most importantly, HAVE FUN.
I would prefer new work, but prewrites are A OKAY with me, just make sure that they fit into this contest. I can't stress that enough. Nothing depressing, I want to read funny stuff.

I love chocolate and turtles too. Actually they have a chocolate candy called turtles. They are absolutely yummy. I could eat them by the dozens. Chocolate and caramel, oh and, I don't want to forget the nuts in them too. Delish. My mouth is watering as I am writing. Thanks for the wonderful comment. What a refreshing topic for a contest. I'm so exasperated with all those "I-hate-my-life-so-I'm-a-gonna-eat-worms" subjects that seem so popular these days. Writing this one is going to be a real "treat" (if you'll pardon, in advance, the pun).
