great idea for a contest. i have some prewrites i could enter but will try to come up with something new
-
this a new contest idea that i have never seen before. i like to write childrens poems, probably because im still one at heart. thanks for having a contest that was original and not over done and cliche. i hope that your daughter enjoys all of the poems and good luck to her and you on the judging. oh and good luck to everyone else in the contest.

Another contest. You must have an abundance of points to give
. Funny I have many poems about children but they are directed toward adults. I'll have to think of something.
If you want great poems to read to your child, I strongly recommend Shel Sylverstien.
-
actualy I have done alot of comenting but I also just took first place in a contest and am using the points from that to hold this one
-
I guess it won't hurt to try my hand in still another contest. I'm not sure if the words I used are child apropriet like "Hark" and "lo" I know several adults who look at me strangley when I used thoes words... oh well they used words like "hark" in The Night Before Chirstams so I can use them in my poem.

Is your 7 year old going to judge? I think she should
Who better would know if the poem was a good one for a 7 year old.
-
I tried to add 2 stories to the contest, but it didn't add them
. They are not on the drop down list of prewrites either
. Are you certain you are allowing stories?
-
