Well Sidewinder and I have decided to hold our first contest together
What we want for this is poems about romance and or love, happy and uplifting please because I think that we all have had enough sadness and heartbreak to deal with and don't really want to read about it at the moment.
Rules-just read them their for your own good lol
1-Follow the rules or you'll be Disqualified!!!!
2-Erotica is allowed ONLY if it is tastefully done as nasty erotica I do not consider to be love!
3-Only two entries per person please
4-prewrites allowed but if you enter a prewrite you must also enter an original.
5-Please do not enter a poem that has already won a trophy and we will be checking.
6-please put love empowers the spirit in your author comments so we know you read the rules
Points will be given as follows
1st-300
2nd-75
3rd-50
and
Three honorable mentions will get 25pnts

okay...one prewrite given, one original in the works. (happens you hit my strong suit...with a wife like mine I'm never short of romantic verses.)
But first! Do the judges carry a bias against formal rhyme and meter? (I'm a structurist...save me wasting my time, huh?) -
well here is the deal. sidewinder likes free verse and me I like rhyme but we both can enjoy either one so since we are both judging this no worries enter what you will and have fun. ohhhh and the coment about your wife well awwwwwwwwwww

Thanks for the IM, but I've never felt love to be able to write about it, and I can't write about anything unless I've actually experienced it. Good luck, I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that can enter.

This is a great idea at the present time. I do believe we all have bombarded with depressing news , sad events etc. After awhile the spirit does need a little break. It does not mean we do not care , it just means we need a little respite. I am not sure if I have one of those forthcoming at present , but I definitely know that I will be stopping by to take a peek at some of the etries. So thx for the opportunity to know where to come and escape,
