I'm a new site member, but have been writing poems for a long time and have been looking for a place online to keep all my poems. Now that I've finally found one, I'm going to upload all of my past one in one massive lump. This would be why I have like 45 poems written on October 4th. Therefore, I've indicated the original date I wrote the poem.

I'm a poet of inspiration. I try to write poems by sitting down and forcing myself to write, but they almost never come out well. The poems I like usually come in fits of inspiration, and usually I'm in the middle of something else and have to stop that somthing else until I get the poem written down. (No, I don't think I'm crazy...)

I'm married to a wonderful guy who is studying to be a lawyer. We met at UCLA doing theater. I was an English major in college and traveled to England several times to study Romantic writers and Shakespeare, which is where a lot of my poetic emotions come from. I lived in Japan for one year and taught English over there, which gave me a couple good poems as well, and definately some good experiences.

I currently teach English to adults from around the world. It's an awesome job, and I love it. I love animals and grew up in the country; I'm esecially fond of cats. I love Nature almost as much as I love God (although the sun keeps punishing me by giving me sunburns). One last thing - I'm Epileptic, so any of the angsty poems I have are probably caused by one of my occasionally depressed moods caused by the anti-seizure medication. Most of the time, however, I am a cheerful, happy person! ^_^
