MischivousmileShow poetry

I am an emotional writer, I write mostly when my emotions are at an exteme.  I have a different way of thinking than most people...you say potatoe, I say pototo.
I used to agree with the people who say "everyone is their own kind of wierd....show me a Normal person and I'll show you a person with issues".  The person who told me that helped me more than she'll ever know...because it helped me to accept me. I don't worry that people will think that I'm different, because I know I am, and that's OK.
I used to feel like I was missing something, didn't know what that something was, but like everyone else knew whatever it was that I didn't.
And I had a different way about me. Quiet, but strong willed. Good-hearted, bad temper. When others hurt, I hurt for them, my heart and mind feel such tremendous sadness. When I write though, I feel free from everything. I can express myself better than I can if I open my mouth.

I'd also like to say:  This site is soooo awesome.  I love being able to come here and escape to other's worlds. It's a beautiful feeling.  I feel inner peace and calm and like I fit in here.  It feels so natural in such a diverse community.  The Creator's of the site have done an awesome job.
I love it, love it, love it.

Heyy, I'm Emily. You commented two of my poems recently; a huge thank you for that, indeed, as you really put thought into your comments. I shall be browsing through your pieces shortly. Thanks again! Oh, and I'm about to post another poem I wrote right now; feel free to check it out! Let's keep in touch, eh?
    Love and love,

You are fairly new to this site, so welcome to AP. Glad you are enjoying it. Kind of gets addicting - even wrote a poem about being addicted to AP. Hope you get the chance to take some classes and enter contests to earn points to feature your own poetry. The most thing is to have fun writing your own poetry. Will read some of yours now too.
