Joy from Trials

I walked into her house.
The floors were bare.
There was chaos everywhere
Caused by years of trials.

But the house was full
Of love, joy and serenity
For trials were not her identity.
She found solace in her Savior.

She has her moments of fear and doubt.
There are times when the hurt is bad.
There are occasions when she is really sad,
But love soon casts away all fear.

She is enamored with her Savior.
Nothing but him will do.
He is her hearts morning dew
After the blackness of the night.

Author notes

A dear friend of mine has faced cancer in two places. She's had one kidney removed. Her house is torn apart. Her husband walked out in the midst of reconstruction. She's facing a pending divorce. She has 3 children, two of whom live with her. Her husband is not supporting her financially.
Yet she is the most joyous person I know. She is enamored with her Savior, Jesus.

I love this piece. For so many different reasons. It's beautifully written. Has a wonderfully easy flow and rhythm. Great job.

If this helps her survive and go on, than all the more to her for sticking with the Savior.

    Excellent

On a personal note, I hope you shared this with your friend. On a poetry note, it is lovely, with a unique rhyme scheme, and is conversational without detracting from the rhythm.

    great!!!!

oh wow. this was very creative. I didnt get it at first but now i do. You have some imagination on you. so much talent. At first i was like okay, this is set up like a rhyming poem, it even looks like a rhyming poem, but where is the rhyme, the more of it I read, the more it became clear... its the second and thrid lines of each sonnet that rhyme. very good. I like it, i like the surprise of it. very touching and deep. good job!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful expression of faith and perseverence. If all that was happening to me, would I be able to keep going with a smile on my face?
