Innocent eyes wide
To witness depravity
Damaged forever
Guard them from above
As you defended on earth
Make your dream come true
Grandpa to small hearts
The legacy of your love
Will be scribed on souls

Del was an advoctae for the children, trying his very best to keep them from the harsh realities of the adult world. He was not afraid to stand firm in what he beleived, and you have given evidence of that with this heartfelt Choka.
Del would have been humbled at these words. He was not a proud or vain man. I should hope that someday allpoetry can see what he wanted for the children. I honestly will take the baton on that end for this giant of a man who looked so carefully after the youth here at AP.
This is a particularly splendid addition to this tribute. Thank you so much for these finely crafted, truthful words. I am sure Del is nodding his head in agreement. I know that his family will find inspiration in what you've written.
Much Love,
Renee

It is still hard for me to believe. This is a wonderful tribute to Del. I am sure he would be truly honored.

Well, all I have to say is watch out to those who would write evil stuff for children to see. Now that Del has a position to watch over us, I know he'll be watching over his child poets.

It would be wonderful if his dream came true of protecting the children on this site. Granpa will be missed.

Someting Del was striving for indeed, and I hope he has succeeded in it... a wonderful tribute you have written for a great guy, with a fantastic personality, a friend to so many people here...
