Weary with trials nights are long to bear
She lies awake as harmed nocturnal beast
Her face weeps tears in hopeful silent prayer
She pleads for some small means to be released
To heal wounds which run too deep to see
The burdens weigh too heavy on her soul
So she accepts to wait for what will be
From one who lone is able to make her whole
A spring breeze blows a fragrance fresh to draw
To fill her senses full of joy and love
In time her grief and pain turn into awe
Her soul enjoins to praise her lord above
A broken body is not healed whole
His love and comfort mend the wounded soul

So True, I have an update about her, you don't have to comment but if you want to know how Susan is doing you can read my column I wrote about her allpoetry.com/poem/1550002 ... many people have been worried about her and I hope that by knowing this, it eases your mind of not knowing how she is (if no one has already updated you) ... I will IM this link to her when she returns to AP. Thank you so much for entering my contest and especially for writing a poem about my ap sis, Susan, its beautiful

A thoughtful, sad sonnet for Susan. She has gone through and is going through a lot. She needs our prayers. She has an infection and is in the hospital.

lovely poem...very heartfelt and worthy of the angel that susan is!
