Come

Missing image
Come
Do not fear the storm for I am here.
I have experienced your pain.

Come
Walk on water with me.
I do the impossible in the storms.

Come
All who are weary and have heavy burdens.
I will give you rest.

Come
Advance toward me that you may be like me.
Walk with me in the storm.

Come
Make our relationship your priority.
Nothing else matters more to me.

Come
Take my yoke and my burden for it is light.
We will walk together sharing the load.

Come
Believe and trust in me.
Step out of the boat onto the water.

Author notes

And after He had sent the multitudes away, He went up to the mountain by Himself to pray; and when it was evening, He was there alone. But the boat was already many stadia away from the land, battered by the waves; for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were frightened, saying, "It is a ghost!" And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid." And Peter answered Him and said, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water." And He said, "Come!" And Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But seeing the wind, he became afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!" And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said^ to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?" And when they got into the boat, the wind stopped. And those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying, "You are certainly God's Son!"
(Mat 14:23-33 NAS )
"Come" - I am in the middle of a storm. Jesus is on the water in the mist of the storm asking, inviting me to come. "Come" stand with him in the midst of the storm. He has renewed his strength in the Father after John's death. He experiences and sympathizes with my pain. He invites me to "come."  "Come" to advance toward him. "Advance" growth step. Reach higher. Go higher. Go further. Make progress. To have priority. Jesus invites me to make him number one. He is my goal, my priority. "Come" be with Him. Be like Him. Follow. Enter into relationship.

Peter was afraid. Jesus asked him to "come." Peter "came." When Peter's eyes were on Jesus he was okay. When he saw the storm, he lacked faith. He cried, "Jesus, save me." Immediately Jesus saved him.
