Your Brilliant Fires (For My Friends)

Missing image
You warm my world
with your sacred sun,

bringing lingering light
that penetrates
the periphery
of my sorrowful shadows...

You dance in my eyes
to music so divine,
I can only rise

& rhythm with you...

Underneath this wild,
howling moon,
I hear the soothing whisper
of your powerful voice

& my soul leaps in wonder
at the truth you bear
as a delicate gift
of grandeur...

How can I tell you
of the peace I find
in your presence?

How can I explain
how deeply you move
my raging heart?

Know this now,
my gentle Friends ~

you have written
lullabyes
with my tears

& radiant rhapsodies
with my joy...

    exceptional

You really are so authentically generous with your friends and fellow poets, and to quote my friend, Skadi, in his poem "Those who See': Those who see/ Know a good heart/ When they hear one playing/ In the Kingdom...

    All the best!

Wow, the radical light which shines upon this poem is formed out of love to your friends. This is a very powerful poem. touching graceful hearts I think is your specialty Ms. Night. Yet what can one say about their friends that they can't say about you. For you are known by the company you keep.

aww wanda dear, such kind words...the background and the words come together to form a soothing "lullaby" and i want to lie down between them, nestled, swaddled in their soft compassion...you are beautiful and kind and i am very appreciative of your friendship. talk about lines that make the reader go wow: "you have written lullabyes with my tears & radiant rhapsodies with my Joy..." i think that's about the one of the best praises a writer can hope to receive!

    Divinely Love

    Dearest Poetess

Love is the most rewarding Muse one may wish to have. Love writes lovely poetry. Love writes lovely shadows of sadness, gently shaded with brilliant Light. Love writes indestructable friendships; it writes paths to unreachable places: both summit and well. Love writes souls into visual poems. Love writes dreams into existence. Love writes an Eternity of Joy.

Thank you for letting Love write YOU.

This is simply beautiful my dear friend wanda. I wish I was able to write wonderful dedication poems to people around here , But alas , I am not that good with emotions such as that. I am much more the reflective one when it comes to emotional writes dedicated or in the directions of other people I know. If I could write a poem for more than one person around here I only wish it could contain the amount of beauty this poem contains. I usually can only focus my ideas in one direction and involving one person...I find it hard to focus sometimes in more than one direction. Just lovely darling. I'm so glad to have you as one of my allpoetry sisters.

Love you and happy 2006 ,
