Some people die old
Some people die wrong
Some people die alone
You lived fast and died young
That day that you died
Is the day that I grasped
Life is really a choice
You may choose not to clasp.
You had said one only dies once
You forgot you get once to live.
So then you left your life behind,
Although you had much more to give.
I find it to be ironic that one
Who helped when I was in need
Could not find a way to help himself,
For his mind could not be freed.
Seeing you go through everything
And hearing how you would cope,
Gave me faith and optimism,
But now I fear I'll lose hope.
I guess there's only so much one can take
Before they finally give in and break.
Memories of you won't be left behind,
You'll always be in the back of my mind.

I like this poem so much. I know from experience it is sometimes easier to help someone and solved there problems then it is to solve our own. I have done this many times before. I am so sad that you lost someone who was a rock for you. I know you will remember him or her always. Kikidee6971 -

I know how you feel one of my bets friends not so long aog in january killed themselves...it was sad...and still is..

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. I think a lot of people can relate to this, maybe not directly, but in some way. Time heals all wounds I suppose... or so I'm told.
