a glass half empty
to an alcoholic is
still a glass half full

Author notes

Senryu:

Senryu, or human haiku include only references to some aspect of human nature (physical or psychological) or to human artifacts. They do not address seasons or nature as in primary Haiku.

laughter echoes haunt
axed jobs silence absent friends
listening I mourn
