Realization

Ive come to the realization that people aren't
Always who they seem to be, and what I mean
By this little line, is that Ive come to find
Out you can't always rely on those who have in
The past said their support would last. Yes,
Some stay by your side and help you through the
struggles of life, but more often they fall
Short of expectations, which is exactly what
Caused this little realization.

I would, and have, dropped everything I was doing
For you, gave you the time you deserved, you've earned
A little respect, and Ive showed it to you. Yet, now
I'm starting to notice you wont do the same. You even said
When I want to talk, I'll have to wait. There's more
Important things than me..well I'm sorry mister busy emcee

Dammit, I went an lost my concentration
Must have been thinkin of you again
Its shame that I have play myself
Like this and say everything is okay
I'm constantly lyin, sayin shits fine when
Inside I know my emotions are intertwined again
And dammit I'm so confused again
