A Man Made Out Of Clay
In the dark I’ve created a shadow
Of the man I soon to love
He carries me into his arms
Where I felt no fear or alarmed
In the light I’ve created eyes
Of the man I soon to love
He wonders aimlessly searching
What heaven bought from above
In the afternoon I’ve created his face
Of the man I soon to love
He stared back at me and shared
A moment’s silent kiss unaired
In the evening I’ve created his body
Of the man I soon to love
Every part of him I felt weak
Until I could no longer speak
During the night he was complete
Of the man I now to love
I felt every part of him in me
Now and in between
