Darkness falls on lonely hearts,
as clouds roll 'cross the sky.
The rain a stinging memory,
in my twilight eyes.
The chilling mist a deathly voice,
of a dream once held gone.
Darkness my companion,
in the hours just 'fore dawn.
For sunlight my only savior,
comes to pull me free.
The misty dreams and memories,
with shadows will they flee.
But with night and the ivory moon,
the mist comes again.
My solitary companion,
and long forgotten friend
