hang my head
painful tears
memories flash through my mind
of these many years
so long to the times
all the good and the bad
so long to all the memories
all the memories we've had
passed on to another life
to where you'll be from now on
gone out of our lives
and before we see you it won't be all too long
seen a life full of heartache
also a life full of joy
its been so long
since you were a boy
you watched us grow
with just a few words you'd guide our way
simplistic in your nature
you left on simply just another day
this is a part of life
a part of being alive
you leave a great legacy
one that will never die

ewww death and funerals make me all weepy and poetic...and its not even like its good poetry.
