Dark Room

Shadowed window clothed in black
Waking from a stifled scream
Blood and sweat and something else
I
am
blind.

Blinded by your silent stare
Speaking lips parted
A glint of silver in the dark
The victim weapon of the soul

Crimson carpet paves the trail
Did you move?
I saw you move
It can’t be true; it’s all a lie
A game of yours?
You like your games

You play them in the darkened night
Laughing at your conquests
Crying eyes mark your flight
You let
them
die.

But now you seem so silent
No laughing stare and teasing eyes
You loved me once or so you said
Do you love me now?

I hold you in the darkened room
A shadow falls across your face
No more tears for you, my love
Blood and sweat and something else
