I see you now
(I won't see you then)
And I haven't given up
on what might have been.
I won't forget your laugh
I won't forget your face
I won't forget those memories
I won't forget our place.
I'll still be missing you...
But when I see you walk.
I'll look and I'll smile
but I won't let my feet stop.
I know what we are:
You and me are never.
[and I know we can't be]
It's now 'you without me' forever.
But I'll still be missing you.
and When I see you talking
I won't stop to look around,
I'll just keep on walking.
And I'll still be missing you
It won't go away,
This part of us...
I know it will stay.
My dear, I'll miss you
Reassure yourself that fact.
I won't see you again,
but I'll still want you back.
And I'll be missing you.
I already do.
Author notes
I want to turn this into a song...it really sounds like one.

Thank you!
Well, I hope you enjoy the rest of my poems as well! There are quite a few! (If you're THAT adventerous!)

I can relate to the feelings you expressed in this poem. You put them into words really well. Very well chosen closing line - it sort of punches you in the stomach and puts things into place. Great job! I'm looking forward to reading more of your poetry.
