What he is doing, I do not know.
So I wait.
I have asked. I have made my request.
I know he is acting.
So I wait.
His deliverance will come. It will.
When I do not know.
So I wait.
In the end, he will be gloried.
All will know he did it.
So I wait.
Author notes
A friend of mine has had much cosmetic work done on her house by friends and neighbors after her husband had left leaving the house in shambles. Recently she found that the foundation is sinking and that it will be over $40,000 to fix it. There is mold in the house because water has gotten in through the cracks in walls and in the foundation. She cannot live in the house due to the mold and the risk of it falling down. She has no money to repair the house. Yet, she has tremendous faith that God is moving and will be doing something with the house that will glorify him alone.
Psa 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD's help; then he listened to me and heard my cry.
Psa 40:2 He pulled me out of a dangerous pit, out of the deadly quicksand. He set me safely on a rock and made me secure.
Psa 40:3 He taught me to sing a new song, a song of praise to our God. Many who see this will take warning and will put their trust in the LORD.
Psa 40:4 Happy are those who trust the LORD, who do not turn to idols or join those who worship false gods.
Psa 40:5 You have done many things for us, O LORD our God; there is no one like you! You have made many wonderful plans for us. I could never speak of them all--- their number is so great!

What a neat job you did on this write. This morning's sermon was about our foundation. If God is not our foundation we fall apart when the storms of life come our way. Its great to see that you and your friend know that waiting on God is the best and that He will be glorified in whatever the outcome is! Thanks for sharing this, I really needed to read this today! God bless! Nobe1

Written well and lovely!
Any time a Christain walks through times like this. God is there and has even better plans for her. It is hard to be in God's Waiting Room and it is so wonderful that she has a poet friend to write it for her and to be there for her. Very well written- I like the repeats. You keep writing. Thank God for friends that stand beside us in hard times. Jackie -
If only we could all remember that it really is all we need to do... Wait on the Lord and he will provide our every need! Thanks for sharing this because I needed it today! A great reminder that he is in charge and not I~
