God made a beautiful lady
Who had a heart of gold
She had so much charm and beauty
For the whole world to behold
The joy she gave to others
Was indeed her greatest pleasure
And for those who come to know her,
‘Twas like a golden treasure
But God knew what my Ninny was worth
And found a better place than Earth
In a beautiful valley, ever so sweet
Where roses bloom, and old friends meet.
He led her gently and opened the door
To be with Grandma, forever more
Loved and remembered every day
Forever in our hearts you’ll stay
What did you think

Excellent
What a thougthful way to remember your Grandma, but letting her wonderful words live on. -
very good
Aww, I miss my Ninny, even though she is still alive. It was touching. I think everyone should write a poem about the ones they love, and not wait until they have passed on.Very moving and heartfelt. I Like It! -
This is a really lovely piece and even more so after reading the author comments... I know I personally would rather have my memory in my words than in a photo... great dedication!

Makes Me Think of My Mapu and Makes ME wanna
This is a very sweet poem.. It makes me think of my grandmother.. I love her so much, and I don't want her to die.. I can see you love her about as much I love mine.. I don't believe in God, but I totally feel this poem.. You use your diction well here. My favorite stanza however was the second. "The joy she gave to others Was indeed her greatest pleasure And for those who come to know her, 'Twas like a golden treasure". Nice little simile. This poem is quaint and so heartfelt.. Lovely write. Hey, your grandmother must be where you got your talent.. If she wrote this poem.(originally) IT really intersting that you adapted something of hers and made it yours..

Aw..this is one of the most emotive poems that I have read. It is a fantastic tribute, all the resurgence of thoughts and eupheism - she must have been very close to you. She is probably in utopia now. Anyways, it is a brilliant read!

She would be proud of you!
I have never heard a poem like that before. I heard of a poem called God's Garden, which could of been her inspiration. Now as far as your Grandmothers tlent, you should be proud. She had a way with the pen, and as her grandaughter your heart should swell. Even if she did not write it, who is one to discredit?, you should be proud that the poem she had was a lovely piece and a moving tribute. I can only imagine if my future children will do the same for me. I think it is lovely how you chose to share one of your Grandma's treasures, She must of been some Ninney! I hope you will treasure this, as I believe she meant for you to. Don't worry if she wrote it or not, just revel in the fact that you honored her wishes! My applauds to you!!!! Keep up the work, your doing good, kiddo! -
