Rhapsodies

Missing image

You soothe me
with gentleness I've not known
before now ~

how strange
that Life should stand between
our every aching step
& bid us patience...

We bleed through our eyes,
Love weeping through our fingertips ~
our lips cry out
for Solace & respite
from the weary dance of thunder
within our veins...

Reaching out ~
somehow, we reach in
& feel the stroke of genius
& humility redefined...

You awaken me
with soft whispers
that tremble in my Heart ~

Truth has no borders
edged in stone

to keep our Path
from stretching
into an infinite horizon
of Dreams...

    excellent

Night Hope, I can certainly relate to this, seeing how my wife is currently in Thailand and I am here, but love is beyond all boundaries of space and time, as you say. So where I feel alone in the close proximity of others, my wife is always with me in body, mind, heart and soul, no matter the physical distance. Best of luck in the contest. You surely deserve to win.

    All the best dear friend!

Lurvely. And don't even TRY to tell me that's not a word, because it is! Anyway, yes. This was a beautiful piece of words from your golden pen, m'Lady. You do inspire me greatly. I hope you never stop... I'd die. Just keel over and die. And Li would be pretty mad at me if I did that, so don't stop writing/inspiring and I won't have to get in trouble with the wife, m'kay? Excellentay.

    Much love, miss Wanda.

    It is strange this odd
    and wonderful place
    this space of word worlds
    when poets cry together
    and shine in the same
dark sky as light for the
earth to find it cryptic way
    from universe to universe...
and I am glad for the wonder
    and that you are here
to paint it in word pictures.

I agree; my late Sweetheart Don said that with me was the first time he'd experienced unconditional Love...why would anyone want to place limitations on something so beautiful??? I've never understood someone saying they loved you, then proceeding to try to change everything about you to suit their own image...Thank you for reading & for your kind comments, my Sister...I'm pleased you enjoyed it...Be well, Poet... When we say we love someone, it should be an unconditional love, otherwise no meaning is left. Love, whether in friendship, family or mate, is never having to explain everything as right or wrong..it should be total exceptance for who we are. Beautiful write again, Sister!

Your line is so true, "Truth has no borders
edged in stone " and on the subject of love so true. May the song remain in your writings, and life.

Indeed, Moon Girl...too many place conditions on their Love, thereby assuring that it isn't Love at all...Thanks for your kindness & constant support, Helen...Love ya, my Friend... Wanda

This was simply gorgeous and something I can relate to.When we sense a connection with someone who maybe isn't in our physical presence. The poem really captures a part of my life right now.
He is thousands of miles away and we only have the phone and yahoo. But at least we have that for now.Your words never fail to express what every soul craves and desires in life.To be loved unconditionally.

    Love Moongirl

perhaps humility needs to be redifined, every single step of our journey, so we never lose the path we are on or perhaps we just need a butty with cheese on
