Child of shadows
Write your lines
Filled with rainbows
Sunlight lies

In your mind
Dreams live to die
Dragged under
With the tide

Smile to live
Without your eyes
As they all watch
You dance in light

Then swallow your curses
So you fall back
Against the odds
And drop your wings

Confined to crawl
Sandpaper skin
Catches the rhythm
Of tombstone voices

Chain your mind
To society's rules
Release the creation
Bleeding sorrow

For in the end
We are all of shadow

    Interesting write Coral. Flows really well and (as always) I particularly like the ending

    This is absolutely amazing! The flow is so polished and with the horrific, dark atmosphere, I can definitely feel the intensity and feeling of being chained to society. I adore the end - that bathos just show that we are all chained in a way..
