Me

I sit here in silence thinking
                                               About me
I am wondering what it is like
                                               Being peaceful
Knowing that there are worse off
                                               Than me
Still only thinking about me
                                               Selfish me


I hate what I have become but
                                               I can't change
I hate knowing I can't change
                                               What I've become
That one thought of a better me
                                               A happy me
But knowing it can never ever
                                               Come true


Am I the only one ever like this
                                               Thinking this way
Do I need help for simply being me
                                               Do I need it
Is this that which I have become
                                               A disease
If I have just tell me please
                                               I will listen

    I too find myself lost many times and wonder why I cant be happy as there is so much beauty around me. This is a nice write and I loved the layout. It realy captured my attention. Well done.

    Your words echo the voices of many of us. You need to discover things you like about yourself to move forward. Dont tell me you cannot do it, I wont listen to that bullshit. Negativity got me nowhere, it will get you nowhere.

    I think you're on the path to finding something very beautiful about yourself. I can see it in your words. some paths are just darker than others. Lovely poem, by the way.
