Daybreak Poetry

Sweet bliss,
I awake in your arms,
Softly your hand brushes the hair,
away from my face.

We can lie in till nine,
lazy Saturday mornings

A brand new day-
so young and light
the sun shines over the city

You smoke and I sing
your eyes are new to me...
They smile and,
laugh until ten.

Playing games beneath the blankets,
fingers entwined.

I needed this affection

I face this blue-skied day,
With the lingering smell of you.
