Midas

He heard her words hanging in his breath
moments after she had left
"How does it feel to loose the only thing you own?"
But he had a lot to him in his world
coastlines with seas a swirling
dollars and sence exurting itself unto his home front
the king of his castle with all the world to see

and his picky pretentious petit wife only of about
five three had to have it all just so like any
married to royalty
and his children wernt brooding kind of skiddish
and meek that grew tired of this castle but
took liking to the streets
they heard somewhere in a dream that everything worth being
was just a short distance from the castle

And being masters at their usless craft and pioneers of their character
they split it two directions that lead them to the same place
a million dreams without traces
cold and worn and ugly faces
outcasted from the castle and no state of return

And one the youngest with more hope then her stature
made way to ever after by sinking in just close enough
to break the kings code
unto the gates to his chamber she beckoned to her father
how does it feel to loose the only things you own?
for this castle crumbles of any cake
this money is tangible but fake
and blood cannot defer you fate

so he made a big mistake
but his cries are not even recognized to any friend or passerby
to even him or to his wife
but the lie is like a parasite waiting soon before he dies
to bleed out through his eyes
and by then it'll be to late
the pearly gates over you no reverie
not fot those who've predisposed their family
