Soothing was the gentle breeze
Wandering through my lazy mind
Echoes from the distant seas
Engulfed within this borrowed time
The trees bore essence of their bloom
Magnolia blossoms filled the air
Against the sun and heat of June
Guided with the wind did share
Nothing pleases me more than her
Olfactory senses on over load
Living and life the flower stirs
In June the bloom was hers to hold
Another year has passed us by
Beautiful colored blossoms fall
Lovely was my bride in white
Of love and life the essence calls
She stole my heart in month of June
Sweet magnolias call her name
Of the Son and before the moon
My flower and love is one the same
Sweet magnolia blossoms
Author notes
For my lovely wife Dena
We were married last June in our backyard and the magnolia wasn't the only thing in bloom.
