No One Mourns the Wicked

Though starlight captures in her eyes
The momentum of the universe
She never knew the secrets
Lying in those stars

Frozen in times’ specter
Chaos follows her sullen gaze
Blackened lies to destroy the masses
Of crumbling monuments and cemetery voices

Controlled rage gathers within her soul
The retribution she requires
Flames dance through her fingertips
Leaving ash to fill what's left behind

Methodically she calculates the thin line
That meets the desert and night
Hoping to find the ending grace
To let her tears run dry
