The Echo In An Artist's Eyes

Missing image

Born to breathe
the flames of Creation,

stirring the infinite ashes
of dreams
upon the hearth,

Souls are singed
by embers' embrace ~

falling
with gravity's persuasion,

Passion's seductive suggestions swirl
in grandeur & delight.

It is an exquisite agony,
this need to nurture sweet music,

communication from within
the depths of Chaos ~

it requests & requires
every ounce of essence we can muster ~
it demands allegiance to the Gift,

subtle whispers
in blood & bone.

Moments become Memories
swaying gently,

murmured profoundly ~

luminous language
dancing upon currents of silvery sighs,

lost in Solitude's shuttered rooms
of yearning...

    Outstanding!!!

One of the better poems I've seen in ages... This "echo in an artist's eye" surprised me with its elegance and sophistication, entertwined into a masterpiece born to "breathe" - your muse is flowing like the sweet nectar of the Gods and Goddesses!!! Brilliant use of metaphor and fantastic visuals... I love the background you've selected for this amazing piece, and the portrait of the beautiful lady is stunning. Thank you for sharing, and for enlightening us on the language of the Haida Indians. I am so happy to see this wonderful piece of art is a royal winner, this is very deserving of the golden crown!!! Congratulations!!! Peace, Cyn

Such a beautifully written poem. Thank you for the authors notes. I love the quote you used there. For some of those that write poetry, it is truly a difficult but necessary way of expressing onesself. The process of expression can be painful and yet freeing. The beautiful of the imagery and the smoothness of the flow made it so enjoyable to read. Thank you for sharing this marvelous piece. Congratulations on the gold.

the whole essence of our existence is revealed here on this page ... the joy - pain, sense - lack of sense perceived through our minds lost in duality together with the ever-present brilliant light of consciousness, waiting until we re-open our shutters ...
yet, there's no pretention in your words, just gentle and graceful beauty and fragility expessed in a humble and human manner ...
a wonderful example of spirit's luminous language translating through words of poetry ...
thank you so much for sharing such an amazing poem ...

Very rarely one comes across a poet with the maturity and clarity of thought to make poetry a pleasure to read.

Once again you have pricked my conscience...I have done no painting now for 8 months...too wrapped up in mundane things to pick up paint and palette, now I feel the need Alas! no canvas Perhaps, a mere word, will suffice this urge to create....

As with all you do, the magic is always there; A gifted child we have amongst us!! Bravo maestro

This was an incredible piece. The lines were very powerful, and it really drew me into your process of thought. I was able to sit back, and simply drift into my own thoughts, relating to almost everything that you said. Your use and command of the english language to aid and reinforce your ideas left me speechless, for when I had finished reading, I wondered to myself if I had not already read this peice. If I was not saving points to promote my latest piece, I would applaud this. Bookmarked, and it shall be done tomorrow

Perfect. Simple, yet extraordinarily elegant, and beautiful - like the pattern in a butterfly's wings. Every word was delicate and thoughtful.
