The earth curves
curls into circles
that crash, swirl of
blues and greens
as eyes stare into the white
of clouds overhead
stars splash in tones of stone
thrown at this innocence-stained retina,
security leaves underwhelmed -
the road home and wings disappear
sun rays fastened
never returning
alluring like
the joints of past days
and clay clocks shrink
as the blink of death would
and it revolves
in missed instances
as hours tick in minutes
rush of visions
while thoughts
careen, blink in cadence
to dropped dreams in buckets
collected beneath lonely beds
where jaded kisses of jade
soar like steam
to the point when
we need to begin
fading again

Oh, wow. This presentation sure does blow away anything I might be able to conjure up. Very fitting, both the picture and the background.
Thanks for collaborating with me on this. I think it turned out pretty darn good.

Thank you.

This is excellent. I like the unde-done alliteration you use, and "innocence stained retina" cool line. Also how you mid line rhyme - very nice tight and good piece.
