My Spirit Lives On

I know you miss me
as I do miss you too
But now, I’m the angel guarding over you
Just remember
I will always be near
To comfort you and dry your tears
I will be your strength
on the darkest night
And hold your hand in the morning light
I will walk with you
in the gentle rain
And be there always to help ease your pain
I will be watching from the skies above
Reach for the clouds
embrace my love
I am that one bright shining star
To be with you
wherever you are
It will be my whispers carried in the breeze
softly telling you don’t cry please
I have never really
gone away
I am here in your heart everyday
Don’t ever think of this as goodbye
My spirit lives on
I did not die

Oh that is so sweet Catherine, I would be honored for you to call me mama. I think Ace would like it also. I am pleased you like the poem. I know how hard it is to lose someone close to you. You are in my prayers.

    beeeuuuuteeeefuuulllllllllllllll!!!!!

even though this wasn't for me....i'll take it. beautiful, touching, pefect flow...tight and well-rounded (sounds like a strippers body - except for the tight part, depending on which way you look at it.. ).....

love it. love you....off on my way for another day...(puffs out chests with hands on hips looking in to the wind with head cocked to side and a proud and stern look...cape flapping in the wind)

Do trust in the fact that she will always be you (not in the flesh but in spirit and always in your heart). My heartfelt condolences to you and your family.

I really needed this today. I Granma died today. Even though I know that she's in a better and with God now, I still want her here. Reading this has helped me more than you'll ever know.

Carol, oh Carol. I hate rhyming poetry. But I love this. This was perfect. The rhyme didn't take away from the meaning. The format is great. Huzzah huzzah.
