She ran through the rain
With girlish delight
She feels no pain
She feels no fright
With the excitement of a little child
She opened her treasure
She laughed and she smiled
At each new pleasure
She called me on the phone
Just to say thank you
I heard the joy in her tone
So I listened like a fool
She exploded into my world
With the brilliance of a star
My security became unfurled
Life was no longer held in a jar
She taught me to run in rain
That life is a treasure
No matter how difficult the pain
There can always be joy and pleasure

This is such a sweet poem. I love how the child renewed life! It was really beautiful to read. I just have one question: in your title did you mean Life at Forty-Two rather than Lift at Forty-Two?
Great job on this. I love the picture too. So cute!
