A pinch of red from the ruby stone
And ample white from the shining star,
Blended with care by a hand unknown
And thrown around - that pinkish scar !
On petals of rose, it would slide,
It decks the sky on occasions high,
And would sweetly glide
On a young bride's cheek and make her shy.
They watched in awe
At the blushing brilliance dancing high
Those ceaseless waters and endless waves
Cheered the pink in the sunset sky.
It is cute and sweet, that lovely hue
For which the delicate rainbows yearned,
It smiles, sparkles and speaks too
That single shade for which the rainbows yearned..

I like this poem. I think you have used some really good images ...although one of them gives the game away a bit - "pinkish scar". i think this is a lovely piece, adn the colour you are getting at is well-described.
