Wishing I knew the right words to say
Whenever I see your face,
Wishing I had the strength to endure
This long and gruelling race,
Wishing to quench this longing I have
To feel your fingers clasp mine,
Wishing I could keep each moment with you
Magically suspended in time,
Wishing to turn my dreams at night
Into something real,
Wishing for the courage to tell you now
Just how I really feel,
Wishing to not only wish
But to also do,
Wishing that I could look in your eyes
And tell you that I love you.
