Melodies of the hearts

Hypnotized in passion’s symphony

  as captivating sensations

 play a seductive prelude

Suspended in a endless waltz

in that uninhibited moment in time

Two spirits swept away in a nocturne

Melodies of the hearts tango in harmony

The fantasia drawing us closer

as souls entwine in the dance

Pirouetting to romance of the crescendo

without a word spoken…

love defined

    Great Job

What a wonderful love poem. I normally do not care for love poems because they are so corny and over written, but I really like this one. I especially like the following lines:

Pirouetting to romance of the crescendo
    without a word spoken…
    love defined

I agree, when you are with your true love, no words need to be spoken.

Thank you Polly, Love poems are not my forte so I have to indulge in the metaphors. That is true no words need often be spoken when you're in love. Thanks again Polly.

All we can say is, Tim was VERY torn between all the finalists - the final decision was left up to us! (Thank God, he insisted we remain anonymous!)

Please refer to the contest page final comments for criteria and final notes.

He will be creating a new contest page today. Initially, in our final notes, we said the top winners and the hm's would be reserved for the final round...which you are, no matter what. But, Tim had a change of mind and felt that you should also receive a personal invite to the next round as well. (An insider for all those who placed: the next round is "Erotica" - he is allowing pre-writes for the first half of the contest and the last half reserved for new writes, as he had so many requests for new writes before.

You will be sent an im once the contest page is up later today.

Again...CONGRATULATIONS ON A MOST EXCELLENT WRITE!!!

    Stunning

You waltzed in with your words and left a dance upon
my heart... you've captured the dance of passion
in poem, What an artistic achievement, stunning!!
If I were to dance the dance of passion, unfortunately
it would be the ol'soft-shoe' danced to the tune of
"all I want for christmas is my back not to ache"
A Christmas classic in my home. laurie.

Thank you LAPoe, I appreciate your comments and applause very much. I could also get in on your tune "all I want for christmas is my back not to ache" I think it's going to be a new christmas tradition around here.
