What I do for you, I try to hide
My desire is not to buy affection
Nor to draw any attention
So in secret my deeds abide
Many tearful prayers are sent above
To seek the will of Him who knows best
He stills my heart and gives me rest
So I may overflow you with His love
To Him I fully declare my love for you
But in my heart I keep it reserved
To keep my integrity persevered
Hoping one day to expose it fully to you
Perhaps it is my lot in this life
To remain single and devoted to God alone
Still I often inquire at His throne
Is there one like you who could be my wife?
Author notes
I have been loving and serving a friend of mine mostly doing things in secret. Some she doesn't know they were done. Some she just doesn't know I did them. I trying to guard my heart and hers. I love her very much, but circumstances do not allow a romantic pursuit. I am trying not to develop romantic love for her.
There are of course many things she does know that I do. We've sought God's will together on some things I've done for her. She also has many friends who are helping her. Those with much greater resources that I have, have helped her greatly.

Heartfelt
True love is unconditional and seeks no rewards. Clearly you unselfishly love her, she is lucky to have you in her life. Maybe in time, it will all work out, and I wish you well. Very well written, my friend. It's nice to find that you are still here, and are still as caring as you have always been.

I like the form orf this poem, and the revelation of good character,as well as a desire for good character. I don't know, of course, the circumstances of this secret love relationship, but it is sort of a tragedy that you are unable to express it. Assuming pursuing the relationship would not be a step of sin, perhaps God will be bringing you two together -

wow, this is really gorgeous, as a poem. Very nice. And I know so many single men like you who are afraid to expose themselves with the first awkward step, but it MUST be done, or you won'ty grow- and after the first awkward step there will be hundreds and even thousands more, and more and more, but the only way to the other side- getting closer to finding the true girl- is to take them- so go for it!

this poem is full of love and passion my heart was pounding when i read this but i had to read it again.
i have felt this way about one of my friends but i can also not be with him besause of cirtain circumstances aswell i know how you feel my heart aches for you and hope that one day the circustances which you are in will change and you and your friend can be together
