*im* a shell washed up on shore
pick me up admire me then
throw me back down [ouch]

im a shirt that you've worn out
with holes *all* over, and stains on the shoulder
so give me to the trash can and go buy a new one [bye]

im a cloud that cant rain
*i* have lost all will and abiltity
to be able to condensate [dead]

im a star that has burnt out
that *can* fall from the sky
but just doesnt want to [stubborn]

im a blanket that can't keep you warm
but can *be* used as a rag
to wash your filthy disgusting car [thank you]

i was always a has been
a piece of shit worth nothing.
do you know what it feels like
to hate yourself all of the time?

but now between the stars
i see who i truly am.

    Brutally honest

    You know,
    putting youself down doesn't accomplish anything. I have plenty of exes who want to use me to wash their cars (and worse, I'm sure, lol)

    This is a excrutiatingly honest and straightforward piece of your mind you've shared with us. I wonder how many times these thoughts ran through your head before you captured them with your pen and paper, or should we say, computer and keyboard? Doesn't it feel better to get it out for others to see, to understand?
    Don't let significant others get you down. If you have no expectations in the beginning, then you can't be disappointed.

    this is not stupid! stop saying this about yourself sweetie, because you have talent

    i like the unique approach on the whole suject, about how you feel worthless (which you are not)
    again, your form is unique. i like how each stanza is about a different thing that relates to the whole meaning of the poem, and there is an important word in the second line of each stanza that is stared and the last few words of each stanza are in parentheis that show a new perspective as to how you are feeling.

    your are not worthless, you are a shining star
