I'm trapped in here, I'm locked inside
I can see the light trying to abide.
Though darkness peirces, blinds, defeats,
I can see the distance, hidden, discrete.
I'm so much older than the people my age,
My soul covered in a mask and forced to stage.
My mind is cloaked by the body I'm in,
Never judged by what's within.
My green eyes the window of my crimson desires,
But I'm trapped inside this betraying attire.
Author notes
Why am I so much older than the people my age, and why can't anyone understand
*I was inspired by a quote off of Frodofan's author's page.

two thumbs up
I hear what your saying in the write sis. I too seemed much older that those around me, but it works in my favor. While those others are playing around and not be serious about things they need to be serious about, life is passing them by, but for me, life has already started. Good write sis.
