The King's War

Missing image
The King bids me to war, but bids me not to fight.
He promises me protection, strength and might.
I wear His armor when I hear the battle cry.
I yield His sword as I watch my enemies die.

My King is my fortress and my shield.
To Him, my loyalty, I forever yield.
At His command, I will stand.
By His power, I will devour.

From my youth, my King taught me the truth.
Until the end of days, I will give my praise.
Of my mighty King, forever I will sing.
Every battle I can win, for He has washed away my sin.

Victory is mine to gain,
For he has endured my pain.
My King supplies my needs
To accomplish His purpose and deeds.

Author notes

War, battle, fight are analogies.
