VOLCANO
Volcano
Unpredictable, cruel
Erupting, flowing, devouring,
Fiery, slippery, destructive, heartless
Burning, melting, killing
Menace, murderous
Lava

Fiery!
You have managed to pack an awful lot of imagery and power into this piece.
The shape is pretty much perfect, so well done for that, too!
I love how you have used the words to so much effect here. Each one is strong, and conjures up an image alone, and combined they are a potent mix indeed.
I especially liked the third line, there is just something about the words you have used there that make it really punchy and effective.

Explosive imagery!
I've written a couple of poems about volcanoes. I will never forget the day that I witnessed the eruption of Mt. St. Helens on May 18th, 1980, in Washington State. I was 10 years old, and my dad was taking me to a Seattle Mariners game, when the freeway came to a halting stop. We saw this huge, slate-gray mushroom cloud. I remember asking my dad if we were being bombed.

bravo
I love how you made such a short thing into something so big. It sometimes amazes me how some people can describe an enormous thing in such small words. AND SO WELL TOO. Great job!
